Charitable Support

The Carnes Crossroads Community Fund awards grants and donations to local nonprofit organizations each year based on the needs of the greater local community and in support of the philanthropic activities undertaken by Carnes Crossroads residents and businesses. To date, a wide assortment of initiatives have received support, including:

Callen-Lacey Center for Children
This is a residential shelter for Berkeley County children. Since opening in Moncks Corner in 1998, it has been home to over 1,000 children from newborns to 17 years of age. The center is open 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

College Park Middle School
Carnes Crossroads residents have participated in “Angel Tree” events for students in need at nearby College Park Middle School at the holidays to ensure that all children and their families experience holiday joy. The Carnes Crossroads Community Fund has supported this effort by contributing additional cash to help the school better serve these students and families.
